A double door canopy does one job: it keeps people dry while they wait at an entrance. That sounds simple but the difference between a good canopy and a poor one comes down to projection depth, frame strength and roof material.
Most entrance canopies in this range span between 1.5m and 4m wide to suit standard double doorways. Projection - how far the roof extends outward - matters more than most buyers realise. A shallow 500mm projection offers little real cover in driving rain. Aim for at least 1000mm if the entrance faces prevailing weather.
Frames are typically powder-coated steel or aluminium. Steel is heavier but extremely rigid. Aluminium is lighter and naturally rust-resistant making it a strong choice for coastal or high-humidity sites.
These canopies work well as a school entrance canopy, a covered walkway shelter or a front door canopy for residential properties. Polycarbonate roofing panels are the most common option - they handle UV exposure well and won't yellow quickly if you choose the correct grade. Maintenance is minimal: an occasional wipe-down keeps them looking good for years.
